Cooper Baird, a dedicated player for LA Sting/Evangel Christian Academy, represents what it means to be an O-Zone student-athlete. His commitment to excellence shows not only on the field, but also in the classroom and in the way he approaches his development every day.
Cooper plays both second base and catcher, demonstrating versatility, awareness, and a strong understanding of the game. He approaches baseball with discipline and focus, consistently putting in extra time outside of team practices to refine his hitting and improve his mechanics. His work ethic reflects a commitment to continuous growth and long-term success.
Off the field, Cooper continues to excel academically. Maintaining a 3.8 GPA while taking honors courses, he proves that high achievement in athletics and academics can go hand in hand. His ability to balance both speaks to his responsibility, time management, and determination.
When asked what motivates him, Cooper shared:
"I want to make my family proud and reach my goals. If I work hard now, it will open more opportunities in the future. I also enjoy the feeling of accomplishing something after putting in a lot of work."
